Everyone Can Take Action
Get involved with LCRC to change lives. Volunteer, donate or join our board. Together, we can make a better community for seniors, adults and their children.
We offer emergency food supplies (full once a month and extras every week based on availability) to Lowertown residents via our Food Distribution Program at the Community House. Every Tuesday from 5 to 7:30 pm and every Wednesday from 8 to 11:30 am.
The LCRC has always offered collective kitchens as a way to bring residents together, break isolation and share a communal meal. We coordinated 5 different kitchens in different locations in Lowertown to reach residents in welcoming and easily accessible locations. 334 residents participated in these cooking activities.
It’s a very nice place. They help a lot. Every time I need help, it’s always here when I need a hand to reach to. Thank you!
The Resource Centre has been very helpful and supportive to newcomers.
I love the Monday breakfasts and the community kitchens, especially the new cultural food experiences.
We must open doors and we must see to it they remain open, so that others can pass through.
